About FlightPickup
A free planner that works out what time to set off to collect someone from the airport.
What we are not
We do not operate vehicles, employ drivers, or take payment for journeys. We are not a taxi firm, a private hire operator, an airport transfer company or a meet-and-greet service, and nothing here implies a Private Hire licence. If you want a car, you need a licensed operator, not us.
What it does
You give us the arriving flight and where you are setting off from. We take the flight’s latest arrival estimate, add a realistic allowance for the passenger to get off the plane and reach the kerbside, then subtract your traffic-aware driving time and a few minutes to get into the pickup area. What’s left is the time you should leave.
Where it works
UK and Irish arrival airports, with a driving start point. It works best for the larger airports, where we also hold details of where you can wait and what it costs.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up and no payment. We are not currently running advertising on the site.
Where the data comes from
Flight positions and arrival estimates come from a commercial flight-data provider. Drive times come from a traffic-aware routing service. Pickup details for each airport come from that airport’s own website, and each one carries the date we last checked it.
